Barham-Gould at­tend­ed Rid­ley Hall at Cam­bridge, and be­came an An­gli­can priest in 1927. He was Cur­ate of All Souls’ Church, Lang­ham Place (1927-1929), and Ho­ly Trin­i­ty Church, Bromp­ton (1932-1936) and Vic­ar of St. Paul’s, Onslow Square (1936-1953).
