Died: March 21, 1915, Syd­en­ham, Eng­land.

Barry was ed­u­cat­ed at Rug­by and Trin­i­ty Coll­ege, Cam­bridge, and in Co­logne and Leip­zig, Ger­ma­ny. He re­turned to Lon­don in 1858, and two years lat­er was or­gan­ist and choir­mas­ter at For­est School, Leigh­ton­stone Hill. He is known as a com­pos­er of hymn tunes, can­ta­tas, etc. and as the au­thor of the An­a­ly­tic Notes to the Crys­tal Pal­ace, Phil­har­mon­ic, Rich­ter and Birm­ing­ham con­certs.
