A mem­ber of the Men­non­ite de­nom­in­a­tion, Brunk taught mu­sic at West Cen­tral Acad­e­my, Mt. Clin­ton, Vir­gin­ia, and Bridge­wa­ter Coll­ege, Bridge­wa­ter, Vir­gin­ia, and head­ed the School of Mu­sic at Go­shen Coll­ege, Go­shen, In­di­a­na. His works in­clude:
