Died: Au­gust 12, 1948.

Son of the Cur­ate at Haw­ley, Gil­lett was ed­u­cat­ed at West­min­ster School and Ke­ble Coll­ege, Ox­ford (BA 1896). He was or­dained a dea­con in 1898, and priest in 1899. While do­mes­tic chap­lain to Earl Beau­champ at Ma­dres­field, he con­trib­ut­ed three trans­la­tions and a hymn to the 1906 Eng­lish Hymn­al.
