Viner stu­died un­der Charles Wes­ley, Jr., and be­came or­gan­ist of St. Mi­chael’s Church in Bath around 1810; while there he al­so taught mu­sic. From 1835-1859, he played the or­gan at St. Mary’s, Pen­zance. He em­i­grat­ed to Amer­i­ca in 1859. His works in­clude:
